Achieve your beach body way in advance of summer with P90X
Want to have a ripped body when you go to the beach this summer? Now is the time to start working on it.
The programme is based on ‘muscle confusion’, which stops the body from adapting to certain exercises over time. To achieve this, there are 12 different workouts which are mixed up throughout the 90 days.
The 12 different exercises you’ll be doing for the 13 weeks include; Chest & Back, Plyometrics, Shoulders & Arms, Yoga X, Legs & Back, Kenpo X, X Stretch, Core Synergistics, Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, Back & Biceps, Cardio X and Ab Ripper X.
You’ll also need some kit for the programme, including; a mat, a pull-up bar, weights or resistance bands and ideally a heart rate monitor. We recommend shopping around because the official equipment is a little pricey.
A quick search online shows the programme has been hugely successful. You’ll find plenty of before & after photos, along with research by the American Council on Exercise which proves the workout is effective.
Along with the typically American enthusiasm and hilarious comments by presenter Tony Horton in the exercises, probably the most motivational thing about P90X is the inspiration videos. Check this transformation out:
If you want to get fit with P90X then there is not better time to start than right now. You’ll be fit, maybe ripped even, by April, with enough time to go through the programme once more to really achieve the beach body definition for the summer.
