Johnson & Johnson Innovation launches Digital Health Masterclass
One for the Digital Health startups out there – Johnson & Johnson Innovation’s inaugural Digital Health Masterclass is now calling for applications where you could get your hands on €50,000 of funding, with expert mentors along the way.
J&J Innovation focuses on accelerating early innovation and enhancing opportunities for collaboration and investment across J&J’s global healthcare businesses. I think it is great they are doing this – we need business to get involved with Digital Health and move the applications forward.
Johnson & Johnson is committed to leading change through innovation and we know all too well about the importance of collaboration. It’s for this reason we are pooling our expertise in healthcare and innovation to launch our first Digital Health Masterclass in Europe and offer much-needed support to these rising stars.
– Marco Mohwinckel, Head of Janssen Healthcare Innovation Europe
The Digital Health Masterclass will be led by experts from across J&J, including the dedicated entrepreneurial team Janssen Healthcare Innovation and will provide access to a panel of international influencers and investors who will lead educational workshops and offer targeted mentoring and advice.
The successful applicants will also be invited to take part in a Masterclass Challenge where they will pitch to a panel of experts and investors for the chance to share in a prize of €50,000. That’s one way to get your startup off the ground!
The Masterclass is open to up to 20 European digital health businesses and will be delivered over three separate events in London, Barcelona and Berlin.
The programme kicks-off with the first of the three-day workshops on Wednesday 18 September 2013 in Berlin and will culminate with the Masterclass Challenge, which will be held in association with Health 2.0 in London on 20 November 2013.
