Moves app comes to Android and now connects to other apps
Moves app, the activity tracker that I’m quite the fan of, is now available on Android – and it looks kinda pretty! Sort of iOS 7 looking in fact, so let’s hope the same design is coming to those of us with iPhones too.
To recap, Moves is a free step tracker that has now tracked over 2 billions steps, twice the amount that have been tracked by the Jawbone UP (which costs £100). The app also calculates cycling time, hence my love for it, without the need to manually input that you are cycling.
So if you have an Android phone, I definitely recommend trying the app out – get it here.
In other news, Moves also recent announced their connected apps catalogue, allowing other third party apps to use the Moves API and better experiences through it.
For example, Narrato, a journalling / life logging app which connects with social networks such as Twitter and Foursquare, can now include your Moves data too, becoming a sort of life hub.
Connected apps include: Earndit, EveryMove, Tictrac, Moves Export, Proves, MMapper, Nudge and plenty more. There are over 20 so far but I’m expecting more to come.
