Stir Kenetic Desk keeps you healthy while at work
A sedentary lifestyle is certainly not good for you. But for many of us, sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day is something we do day in, day out.
We may be getting paid to sit and work, but without regular breaks, you’re likely to increase your risk of diabetes, heart disease and well.. death. So standing up every now and then shouldn’t be too off putting.
The Stir Kinetic Desk aims to make is easier for you to get on your feet while at work. It does this by mechanically raising whenever you tell it to, through a touch display, or every so often based on your tracked usage and learned habits.
Take a look at the video above for more about the desk. I love it, but am also wary that it may cost quite a bit. Another option you could look at, if budget is tight, is a FitBit Flex or Jawbone UP – both of which will give you a buzz if you’ve been inactive for too long.
