Apple to launch Healthbook app?
Is Apple planning to enter the world of health tracking? With rumours abound of an iWatch a more recent post from 9to5Mac peaked our interest here at Pixel Health, that Apple is developing a health app called Healthbook.
The app could not only take the place of a number of existing services by tracking/collating steps taken, calories burned, and miles walked. As well as potentially helping users track blood pressure, hydration levels, heart rate, and other blood-related metrics. Not to mention integrating into the full range of other apps we already use on our iPhone (such as receiving medication alerts through Reminders).
Whether the rumours are true or not we’ll have to wait and see. But I for one would be interested to see what Apple could do with an idea like Healthbook. Not to mention how it could help us to better join up all the different services I and the team here use (and test for this site).
