FitBit moves into fashion with Tony Burch accessories
FitBit are taking a step into high fashion with new accessories for the FitBit Flex that provide alternative casing options for more formal occasions.
The new cases are designed by Tony Burch and will be launched at the end of the summer. They include a metal hinged bracelet, metal fret pendant and two silicone printed bracelet – one blue, one pink.
The accessories are designed so that the actual FitBit device from the Flex (which is contained in a silicon band as standard) can be removed and used in any one of these accessories, depending on occasion, helping you track activity more often during the day.
Interestingly, as SXSW earlier this year, the designer of the FitBit, Gadi Amit, discussed fashion with regards to wearables, stating that it is not the future due to the need to change outfits / looks throughout the day. Perhaps FitBit saw a different angle to this, by providing numerous accessories to fit with all those looks.
The release date for these accessories is yet to be announced, so follow us on Twitter for the latest updates.
