ASUS launch ZenWatch at IFA 2014
Berlin is the place to be for tech news today, with IFA 2014 seeing the launch of numerous smartphones and wearable devices. One of these that caught our eye was the ASUS ZenWatch.
As their first smartwatch, ASUS have used the Android Wear platform to create a more traditional looking watch, without losing any of the health capabilities we would expect from a modern device.
The device includes sensors to become your ‘personal wellness manager’, tracking steps, heart rate, calories burned, exercise intensity and even levels of relaxation – something we haven’t seen a device do before.
The device will even provide tips based on these factors, so offers an additional layer of support for your wellness – along with the usual visualisations and weekly reports you’d expect with a fitness device.
The ASUS ZenWatch will be available before Christmas at under £199. Follow us on Twitter to find out when a more specific date is announced and find out more on the ASUS website.
