Future of Health Data in the NHS

A little over a month ago, I attended the Health 2.0 Europe event held in London and enjoyed listening to a couple of the speakers in the time I was able to attend. Thankfully, the organisers have now shared the recordings of those I saw and more, so I’m happy to share a really interesting talk that I wasn’t actually able to see in person. It was the keynote from Tim Kelsey at NHS England titled “Personalised Health and Care 2020: Using Data and Technology to Transform Outcomes for Patients and Citizens”.

In the talk he examined how better use of technology has the power to transform the quality and costs of health and care services, and the work currently underway by the NHS to giving people ownership of all their own medical data. An interesting talk and some interesting projects coming from the UK’s biggest health body.
