HI-TEC joins wearable revolution with range of ‘TREK’ activity trackers

Sports footwear and apparel brand HI-TEC has announced a new range of wearable trackers, joining the likes of Nike, UnderArmour and others in seeing the opportunity this new technology revolution offers to its customers (and to its own brand being part of it!). The TREK range is designed to be competitive in this growing market, while offering value for money at 3 different levels:

  • TREK Lite (£49.99 RRP) – Steps, Distance, Calories, Motivation, Sleep patterns and has Caller ID
  • TREK Go (£59.99 RRP) – Steps, Distance, Calories, Motivation, Notifications, Sleep patterns and links to your mobile through Smartapps (notifications)
  • TREK Plus (£79.99 RRP) – Steps, Distance, Calories, Motivation, Notifications, Sleep patterns, links to your mobile through Smartapps (notifications) and monitors your Heart Rate

The TREK range all also offer a battery life of up to 5-days, an ion-hardened touchscreen and slim black wristband for everyday use. The devices can also sync with your smartphone using the dedicated HI-TEC TREK app for iOS or Android. All of which sound par for the course, but for the price potentially an action-packed little device!

Ed van Wezel, CEO at HI-TEC commented: “HI-TEC TREK is a natural extension to our range. Our customers have a love of the outdoors and experience that through activities that include walking, running, rambling or simply just being out and about. We recognized that for many of our customers their activity was a means of keeping healthy and helping with their general well being. With the HI-TEC TREK range, we are giving our customers a simple and affordable means to monitor their health, whether that be at home or while out and about.”

The new TREK range is available in now via Amazon, in any Go Outdoors store or from HI-TEC direct. We’re certainly looking forward to getting out hands on this new entrant to put it through its paces in the coming weeks.
